NAFAS in the Home Counties

Some members may not be aware that part of the annual membership fee collected by your local Bedford Club is paid over as affiliation fees to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS). This means that every member of the Bedford Club is a member of NAFAS too and is therefore entitled to attend Area and National events organised either directly by NAFAS or by the Area – Home Counties – that Bedford falls in.  The Home Counties Area covers 60 clubs, in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and some of Essex.

Below is a diary of Area and National events that might be of interest to you.

2025 Home Counties Area Events

Date	Description
Tuesday 29th April 2025	Home Counties Members’ Day @ Marford Memorial Hall, Wheathampstead.  Starts at 11am with a talk by National Speaker Simone Squire ‘ A little more than a Slab of Chocolate’   followed by lunch. Then at 1.30pm a demonstration by National Demonstator Alison Penno entitled ‘Floral Idols’.      Tickets are £25.  Speak to Lynda or Mary if interested in going. Car share may be available.
19th & 20th September 2025	NAFAS National Show – Nature’s Challenge at Gloucester Cathedral
Wednesday   November	Area AGM and Luncheon, @ The Spotlight, Hoddesdon  National Demonstrator.  £
